C/I Student Attends the 5th White House Science Fair!

C/I tech incubator student Shemar Dacosta from Bronx Academy of Software Engineering (BASE) will be an Honored Guest at the 5th White House Science Fair on Monday, March 23rd. Viewers can follow along with the fair using the hashtag #WHScienceFair on Twitter and Instagram.

According to The White House Press Office, “the Obama administration is committed to helping inspire young people across the nation to get excited about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and to celebrating the extraordinary K-12 students that already are accomplishing great work in these fields.”

Shemar is one of the winning students from our Microsoft Hackathon and a participant in our C/I Tech Incubator during February Mid-Winter Break. Shemar and his teammates used their app development skills to build ‘Voices,’ an app that opens the channel of communication between students and school administrators.
