Code/Interactive’s John Adams HS Students @ Tumblr!

December 15, 2016 by

Code/Interactive’s AP Computer Science Principles students from John Adams High School visited Tumblr where they learned about a variety of tech careers at Tumblr including Office Coordinator, Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Content Manager.

Students learned about the Quality Assurance while peering into the tech closet that houses countless phones, tablets, and computers used to test Tumblr on various devices, and were encouraged to apply for internships with Tumblr when they reached college because many full-time Tumblr team members actually got their starts at interns.

At the end of the visit, our students shared about what they learned and what they’d take back with them. “I learned that I want to work at a place like Tumblr where I get to work on exciting projects that have a lot of influence, but also have fun with the people I work with.”

(Students also got a priceless glimpse of the city from Tumblr’s spectacular rooftop!)

Donate to the December Code/Drive

Coding4TX is running a Code/Drive for the month of December to be able to teach 5000 more students to code. Please consider contributing:

A $50 donation will support a single student and a $500 gift will offset the cost of curriculum and teacher professional development. A $5,000 gift will support an entire school’s worth of students.
